It really bothers me when I see combinations of really well done and then very poorly done all on the same person.

>great prop but bad everything else

You get the idea. Also piercings. I get really tired of seeing piercings on characters who dont have them, especially lip and nose piercings.

I met my guy of interest at a con about two years back. We just struck up a conversation and have been talking ever since.

We do have a lot in common when it comes to what we like in partners, and a few of our interests cross over, but he's mostly into guns and Metal Gear and I'm mostly into fantasy and lore.

He also lives all the way in Montana and I only see him once a year at the con (where I met him in the first place).

I'm not jumping in and calling it a relationship, but I do believe he's worth getting to know beyond his hobbies; who he is morally and such.

My friends actually find it very entertaining. They've told me that they enjoy trying to get me to say them, only to point it out and watch as I get embarrassed when I do.

Ive actually gotten worse about saying random Japanese words. I never had a problem with it when I was in high school because I only had access to/watched dubbed anime. Now that I watch subs routinely, Im starting to abuse them.

Case in point:

How in the hell did they get Yugioh cards banned?

The only time I heard about those cards causing trouble was with a friend from an extremely religious family who thought the show was an occult recruit program (?) and made her stop watching it. I still remember when she brought me into the church bathroom, crying, telling me how she could never be with her husbando Yami Yugi as she handed me the deck she had assembled.

I have over 300 yaoi roleplays saved. I keep them as a reminder of those horrible, dark days.

I was a "wannabe" dark and edgy weaboo. I never dyed my hair or got any peircings, and I only wore cosplay to school twice and to the mall once. I was too embarrassed to do it more. But I dove head first into horror films and media and tried to pass myself off as the mysterious, all-powerful, all-knowing member of the group. I had ridiculously powerful self inserts and all of my OCs were either demonic in nature, covered in scars, or had a mental disorder. I was called Sensei by all of my friends and pretended to rule the group with an iron fist. Wore a black trench coat to school everyday and got in trouble for wearing a Naruto headband once because it was "gang related". Looked up yaoi and hentai on Youtube and only read fanfics labeled "lemon" on fanfiction.net.

Im glad I actually stayed away from 4chan until I graduated high school.

2013 was a pretty mediocre year for me. I feel like a lot of my cosplays were in vain because I didn't get recognized in three of them (Boris, Parappa, and Flippy). That isn't to say that I didn't have fun being them, but it wears on you after a while when you stand to the side every time one of your friends gets their picture taken.

France was a big hit again at Sakura-con and the con itself was great. My hotel situation was aweful but I spent the whole time either on my own/free to do what I wanted, or hanging with my friend. It was also the first cgl meet I went to and I had a blast.

Kumori-con wasnt so fantastic. There was a lot of drama among the group I went with and again, I didnt get my picture taken hardly at all. I did get to meet up with some more seagulls and made a few new friends, so all in all it was fine.

My plans for 2014 is to work on my make up skills, specifically contouring and fake facial hair. Actually, I have a lot of improving to do overall. I also really want to go on photoshoots for my cosplays, even if it's just with my friends. And I want to see if I can rally them into another group cosplay. We havent all been from the same show since Gurren Lagann; we might shoot for Yu Yu Hakusho next year.
