I dunno, most all the people I met from /cgl/ are normal. I've literally only met one really weird person who ran up hugged me and spoke an inch from my mouth about detailing my cosplay. To me it's really just the assholes just scream the loudest making them appear like a really big bunch, most are just normal people looking to have fun.

What others dress up to is fine, I'll find the people I can to hang out with and the shows that I can enjoy; and to me that is all that matters. Just hanging with some chill people, talking about things we like, and shooting the shit.

My go to is Nekocon, I dunno I end up hanging out with the VA's every year, everyone just seems friendlier when it is smaller. I don't know how to explain it. Larger cons just everyone is task oriented, instead of just hand out, chill, and talk about good times with eachother.
