Yeah, you'd need to get her hair right. At least clip it up in the back. I think the popsicle sword is a cute idea, but you'd need her broken sword. Also her shoulder piece and big glove are really iconic to her character so you'd need to incorporate those somehow. Maybe an arm floatie thing for the shoulder piece?

The 404s 18+ show is pretty good. I haven't gone to many panels at a-thon but have enjoyed that one the past few years.

Oh nice! Love to see it! New or old Heimer? I've got no progress pics yet still in the planning stage of how to build everything but I think I've gotten in figured out so I hope to start building this weekend! Once I get some solid stuff done I'll post it in the wip thread!

I really want to fix up the rest of Nausicaa before posting a full pic of my costume. Ran out of time before the con to properly take in the tunic so it ended up looking frumpy. Also plan to dye the wig so it's a better match colour for next con.

Alright let me tell you about MH. I've been following the series since around 2011 and it honestly does not sound like you've ever watched it or anything. Monster Highs motto is "Be Unique, Be Yourself, Be a Monster" which they enforce all the time, especially in their movies. It's a great message for kids and that's not the only one they have. It's about accepting your "freaky flaws" and loving yourself. Each monster has a flaw. While the earlier ones might seem superficial they've gone beyond and above since that. Jane Boolittle is a monster with a social anxiety and they've gone quite into it in the series.

This is untrue. While some of the ghouls like to look good that's not it for all of them. Their newest doll Gilda Goldstag has no makeup on at all. In one of their special webisodes about bullying, the girl had a larger frame because she does so in real life. Most girls don't focus on their appearance much at all but other bigger things. Usually working together to overcome whatever the obstacle is. And yeah some of them do put effort into their appearance so what? Lots of girls like to, who are you to tell them that they are wrong?

The only ones who spend lots of money are Cleo and Draculaura. None of the other ghouls do that.

Who is promoting to look like a doll? No one. Kids don't think 'oh I have to look so thin like my dolls!' No, they don't. You know what does make them think that? The media of real life people, telling girls they have to be thin. MH is about accepting yourself, not looking like a doll.

Older cosplay of mine and I still want to fix the wig and redo the cosplay, but I cosplayed Karin from Chibi Vampire. It's my favourite manga (not as much of a fan of the anime they kinda butchered it) and I had like two people know who I was. I was really happy that someone recognized me!

So for an upcoming con later in the year I'm hoping to do an EAH and MH cosplay. I think I've decided on Lizzie for EAH. But for MH I'm stuck on Twyla, Sirena or Freaky Fusion Draculaura/Frankie.

Well you can get what are called Sclera lenses and they are 22mm and will cover your whole eye (Pic) There is also a step down which are Mini Sclears and are 17mm. I think the biggest Circle lenses come might be 17mm but most of them are 14-15mm

I was wondering if anyone has ever worn UV contacts before? I was wanting to get them for my Orianna cosplay (she's a robot) but I was wondering if anyone had experience with them before going ahead and getting them.

I've seen some really good Laws (Usually Punk Hazard Law) but I so agree with the lazy Laws and Luffys. At Sakura Con when I went to the OP meetup there was maybe like 2 good Luffys out of the bunch and one of them was cosplaying from the One Piece Z movie.

All these cute rooms are to die for. I hope to one day have a cute ass room like them, even if it's not my bedroom. If husbands/roomates/whatever can have mancaves then we should totally be allowed to have a cute ass room for ourselves.

My room is pretty crappy. I wish I had more room for more shelves for my dolls/figures.

I'd love to cosplay this version of Zelda but I'm gunna wait for the game first then see. But I'm sure we will see a lot of HW Zeldas right away, especially with SDCC coming up.

Yes we cosplay together! Only have done a few couples but hope to do more in the future. He's 6'5 so he's a full foot taller than me which can make it a bit difficult sometimes for photos. It's good and bad because we can easily do the tall boy/small girl couples (even though I'm not really that small) but not every couple we like is like that. But it's all in good fun.

I want to fix up Nausicaa more before posting it so I'm going to post Perona! I had a lot of fun with this cosplay. I need to fix up some stuff on it for next time but overall I'm pretty happy with it. Going to make the back curls better and do something about the hat. I made it to small and never got the chance to fix it, so definitely need to redo that.

I was wondering what you guys think about my Syndra gauntlets. It's my first time using worbla so I really have no idea what I'm doing. I used the sandwhich method for the base then just strips for the details. Should I just remake them? I don't plan to wear Syndra until August so I do have time. I just don't want it to look shitty and I really want this cosplay to be good, so I don't mind remaking them if they look bad.

2 girls 6 guys take your pick. There are also a million other characters from One Piece if you don't want to cosplay the main crew.
