Oof, those pictures are definitely not flattering indeed.
On the other hand, it was really dark, and flash photography is always a little difficult. I honestly can't wait until the next event, it was great meeting people that I've always admired from afar (even though I was super nervous), it was a great event and I think that Kyra and the others did an amazing job :)

I know, I sadly had to stop offering untracked shipments because there were a few customers that took advantage of Paypal's wonderful terms that automatically side with the buyer.

Which is cool if there's an actual problem, not so cool if you order something with a shipping method that usually takes 5 weeks and open a case after a week :/

I'm still trying to find an alternative/get a good deal with the shipping company.

I love this print, it's the right mix of sweet and classic.
Not sure what colour I should go for, pastels don't suit me very well and the black is kind of weird looking. Cream seems to be the safest I guess, though the sax is beautiful too..

The original one sits on your forehead though, the replicas won't. Just FYI :)

I'm sorry but if you really want to get into the business it's best to figure everything out yourself. Setting something up is hard work, but not as hard as actually running the thing yourself (selling things and shipping them out is not even half the work, especially with a market so saturated as wigs), so watch out what you get yourself into.

But hey, if I can do it then I'm sure you can do it too :)

They're legit, at one point I looked into them being a possible supplier for me as they have a lot of colors to choose from and are a lot cheaper than my current supplier.

Their wigs are fine, I'm not too crazy about the fiber (that's just a personal preference, there's nothing wrong with the fiber itself) but I would watch out with ordering blonde wigs like these: http://www.wig-supplier.com/65cm-long-blonde-anime-2-clip-on-ponytails-curly-cosplay-wig-p-1066.html
Because that blonde turned out to be pee yellow IRL.

They're not GLW's supplier though (unless they have changed suppliers recently) and I can't comment on MintyMix as I don't know her fiber, but a lot of the recently popped up stores that sell wigs go through l-email.

Oh I'm not that bothered by it's presence as much as you think I am. I go to cgl when I'm bored, not to gain followers. And anyway, I was just sharing my experience with her, so back on topic with you.

That's the whole essence of /cgl/, one shitty vendetta chan that won't fuck off. Though hers actually left the boundaries of /cgl/ for whatever reason.

If you have me on Facebook send me a message and I'll PM you back, not sure how smart it will be to post the link on here.

I'm currently using her service and she has been nothing but nice and keeps me up to date. If anything /cgl/ is just being /cgl/, as usual.

I'm glad it works for you! I applied it myself today again, but it's a bit a dirty job and I always forget it :C
Plus I have a LOT of hair on the back of my head so I just have to skip that.

I know what tutorial you're talking about, but I was already working on getting them made before I found out about that one. I hand drew the print in Photoshop myself using BJD references. The Selfer tights did inspire me though :)

Posting it here wouldn't make it easier to find for other people who don't know about the whole ordeal anyway.

I'm going to contact the mods first thing tomorrow and then see what I can do to help!

Google does not show anything if you search for her name and adress, or living place. Neither does it show any results for her e-mail adress (so she might have created a new one?). I found out by searching for her name plus lolita, but if you're a store that isn't well known with the community or things like that, then it's almost impossible for them to find out, since her name is really generic and she doesn't buy under her alias.

Good guy Paypal blocked the transaction, I initially searched her name + living area to see if anything was known since it was a crazy amount she ordered ( over 30lbs of wigs and accessories) but nothing turned up. At all. Now I'm not too much for putting people's information out there, but in this case it might be a good idea to put her full name out there. I don't know how long Paypal will continue to block her payments and it's quite hard to track down her identity if you don't know about the lolita community.

From my experience the LPs usually contain almost exactly what's on the picture (except in random colors)

Yes, will do about the styling. I also need to add the things like length and temperature that it can be styled on to it. But unless I get lighting equipment I can't really do proper pictures on a wig head I'm afraid. I do need to get lighting equipment though, and I'd like to do swatches under different lighting methods to show how that affects the gloss.

Good morning guys

>>6460244
Ah, I already have a tripod (how could I take the pictures myself otherwise? :P ) and a wig head, the problem is space and light. The only place I can take those pictures is really dark, like it's at the part of the house where the sun doesn't come and it's in the shade. I used to take pictures there in the beginning, but dark stock pictures aren't very representative either and I can only do so much with color/light balancing, no magic. I might get a beautiful rental house that's very bright and has space for a studio set up though, that would bring a lot more possibilities with it :)

>>6460269
Natural light, to me, means that's taken with natural light. It says something about the light used (like flash, natural, bounced etc.), not about the processing in Photoshop. Maybe I should've said daylight instead.

>>6460321
It actually does say that on the website in the description of the mermaid styled wigs

> "they definitely need to be brushed through"

>>6460275
Yep, I was talking about her wig, not mine :)

>>6460763
Ah thank you, I'm not really riled up about it though, I think maybe I come across as more harsh than intended

Either way, I do think threads like this are helpful because I get very little feedback from my customers if it's negative (that's why I would like to encourage to e-mail me about any problem, I can honestly not stress this enough, because otherwise I can never know what is wrong!), and to me it's important to know what I can improve. Now I know to re-calibrate my monitor and check pictures on other monitors too, what I forgot in the description of the wigs and what is wanted for pictures. I might come across as bitchy to the "normal" replies but it honestly is not my intention.

Yeah I do adjust the color an lighting if needed, to make it match the product as much as possible, that is not styling however. That's retouching and I admit that I do that. I do remove impurities in my skin and smooth it out because I don't like my freckles :)

Because there is such a difference in the comparison image that everyone sees it, and thus I assumed that you guys understood that I'm not talking about the comparison image but the stock image. It seems quite logical to me, but.. ahh, my assumptions are also quite often the cause of a lot of confusion. Either way, I'm off to bed, it was a fun little Q&A

Please do continue spawning your nonsense, apart from the aspie part wich is true, doesn't make my products worse though. The styling is minimum, I sometimes cut the fringe and I always brush the wigs through. There are exceptions, like the set with clip ins - wich are shown non styled and styled in different ways. That is also in the description of the style itself :) But as I do everything myself I don't really have time to do anything apart from that.

You are right, that I did. But I would have to have a super special monitor to not see the difference in the comparison image :) I just assumed you guys would understand I'm talking about the stock image and not the image I replied to.

Boy, that escalated quickly.
