It's not tailored and it's still way too big, but it doesn't look really bad because the bodice is a darker, kind of contrasting color that makes it look smaller than it is. It's really flattering :)

I couldn't put my finger on why the photo looked somewhat fake, but the hair explains it! I don't mind the fake feeling though.

Which version of the JSK is it? With the shoulder capelet?

I agree, I think 99c/2$ would keep a lot of people interested in getting the plan. I'd still probably probably wouldn't mind paying 5$, but it depends on what you'd get in return.

It's amazing, but really long! It reaches almost to my knees and I expect it to be an awkward length on anyone under 5'8". You might want to keep an eye out on second hand sites, I've seen it pop up a couple times before!

I don't wear it as much as I'd like, so I'd say it's mainly collecting! Maybe I'd wear it more often if I had other lolita friends to hang out with, but sadly I live in the middle of nowhere!

Bought a bunch of lashes from this seller, really cheap and nice quality.

I'm not pretending to not be pissed off about it, I found out about it a while ago and back then I was pissed off what had happened, especially since I never even expected it to happen. However I have made my peace with it, I'm not able to change anything about it, except that I can warn people about what has happened so they won't expect the product they see on the images, and inform them that the announced decisions regarding the print have been changed.

I honestly don't know the quality of the fabric that they used, but the printing isn't as good (it doesn't line up but overlaps) and looks less crisp. I recently found that one of the resellers has started to put own pictures up and it looks like they simply stretched the front part of the design and kept the back exactly the same. That, or they might have added part of Koh's design to the front. Either way, you'll see what I'm talking about if you go through with the comparison, they're definitely not the same and it's completely up to you which one you prefer :)

I recently started shipping through Germany, instead of €20+ it's €8,75 for worldwide shipping with tracking for one item. I did give getting a distributor in the US some thought, but I don't think Lockshop is big enough for that yet and shipping is a lot more reasonable now! :)

>>6983815
I've heard this reasoning before, but I stand by my choice of not working with factories that have bad working conditions. I know it won't change anything for the people already in those conditions, but it's a moral choice I guess.
I'm not from Sweden by the way.

>TL;DR Choke found out the factory is selling those tights to others and rather than facing her hypocrisy she's disbanding the idea altogether.
I'm not sure what hypocrisy you're talking about? My factory didn't sell the design to other people, what happened is that the person that I worked with in a different factory, got fired and took the design with him to his new workplace. The design is just a prototype and not the full design, but it's my design nonetheless. The concept isn't the issue here, I wasn't the first to do it and I won't be the last and I never claimed to be the inventor of it. It's simply that (the unfinished and badly printed version of) my design is out there, and keeping up production in the quantities that I have to get made with the new one is too big of a risk to take.

>> No.6983731 [View]

I never expected people to make a big deal out of it as they did and I guess it was a big mistake to not explain. I simply wanted to inform them that we won't be restocking the items and that the planned addition won't happen, plus that they should watch out with buying BJD printed tights that use my images but are on a different website than my own or Rococo Daze, because they won't be the exact same tights as pictured.

>>6983426
Ueno Koh isn't the only one to do those tights either, and I never made replicas of her design.

>>6983428
Wigs are completely different from getting tights produced.
The quantity is a lot smaller for wigs than for tights, hence the financial risk is a lot smaller too.

If you have questions, feel free to ask.

I break even on the tights

This is why I think Ophanim is doing all her tights for pre-order for a long time. Personally to have the tights finally here (samples + production cost + packaging cost + shipping cost + customs fee), one style, it was a couple thousand Euros, and that's not in a "a couple is two or three" way . But then again I'm not doing it to make a profit off the tights, I do it mainly because it's more creative and more fun to do that wigs.

>>6762881
It depends, you can get it for cheaper than I do, but you have to keep in mind that cheaper usually means worse work ethics too if you go to China for production. I believe there are factories in the US and Germany that do printing too on a smaller scale, but their prices aren't very good and they don't actually make their own fabric blends so the choices can be more limited.

Not all manufacturers do, unless you have both pairs to compare you can't say for sure if it was the manufacturer's fault or that it was knocked off

>> No.6762616 [View]

>>6762611
For an opaque print it pretty much just takes a pair of tights and a scanner to scan the image, then clean up in Photoshop. That's what happened to the Dangerous Nude tights that were knocked off, there's usually a bit of loss in vibrancy or details though.

I guess it depends per factory. Maybe she had set up an arrangement where she doesn't have to order a huge amount of tights (because let's face it is a LOT of money), but where she wouldn't have a say in how her designs would get used in the future? That, or she didn't demand a contract or she was just really unlucky and someone replicated the design themselves, it's not unheard of for that to happen.

Not that it would make a difference if you found my factory, because even if they would break contract and sell my designs to you, you would have to buy about 1000 pieces. Give or take

I'm not going to lie, I had some amazing experiences and it really helped me grow as a person, it freed me in a way, sometimes I even miss it. However after my hair broke off I distanced myself from the whole industry and I realized that it's better to put that time and effort in my store, which actually pays off. Since I quit modelling full time I actually make more money off modelling because I don't have all those crazy expenses anymore.

So expect to work your ass off quite literally to be able to get a shot at making money.
Chances are that you end up with a big debt though, or quickly fade into obscurity after you shone for two or three seasons on the catwalk.

I stopped because of a couple of different reasons, one is that it's just not worth the time and money if you see what you get in return for it. You almost literally have to put all your time into your career if you want to be able to "make it", so say goodbye to your friends and your comfortable life and say hello to a shitload of stress and worries about money. Not only will they give shit to you about how fat you are (no matter your weight, you'll always be a fatty), but also about your clothing, your attitude, hair, make-up and everything else.

If you have a bad day, you'd better not let your agency know because they will make sure to put even more castings on your list, whining is not exactly allowed. And ofcourse you will have a bad day, actually you'll probably have more bad days than good days. Not only by being treated like shit at castings (clients that look at your book for 2 seconds, or pretending to while they're on the phone, after you just waited for 40 minutes), but also because your lovely 15 year old Russian roommate talks to her boyfriend on Skype until 3 AM. Rise and shine at 6 am, because otherwise the same girl hogs up the bathroom for 1 hour and you'll be late for your castings sheet pick up! Then make sure you look perfect during the 6-8 hours of walking/hurried metro riding in either a blizzard or 40 degrees heat in the summer.

If you're lucky you have to get up the next day at 5 am for a job, which you'll probably finish at around 11pm. Oh and if you live in, for example, Paris, then don't expect to go home with any money. Agency takes 75% of what you earn.

I'm sorry to hear that you're unsatisfied with your purchase, and I would like to clarify a few things, since there seem to be some false assumptions...

That they are the same material as tights you can purchase from Taobao, does not mean that they actually are from Taobao. If you want me to, I can provide all the pictures I have of the designing and making process. I actually had to go through various factories before I found one that could do seamless printing (which is quite expensive to do actually)! What sets them apart from the tights commonly found on Taobao is the print, not the material, it's just a common material that's very popular in tights, and a safe choice regarding the quality.

I did in no way lie about the stretching of the tights, I'm 178cm, about 5'10 or 5'11 and they fit me with a bit of room left. I've also recently gained a bit of weight and they still fit me fine. Sorry for the underpants picture, but I wanted to show that they do indeed fit at my length. My hips are about 37 inch, so they are not the smallest either.

Why they don't fit you, I don't know. They should, especially if you are skinny.
