NYCC starts today.

Post all your pictures, progress, plans, etc in this thread. Have fun seagulls.

I was going to make a new thread but this one existed already.

Unless of course you all want a fresh thread considering this one has been up for two months.

/cgl/ is supposed to be about cosplay and lolita fashion. This thread is basically nothing but community drama.

If you cannot keep discussion focused on the hobby itself, and not the personal lives of those who participate in it, then these threads will no longer be allowed in the future.

>> No.8303959 [View]

The reason these threads keep getting deleted is that they very quickly stray off-topic. This board is about cosplay & lolita fashion, and while I understand that it's cathartic to have threads like these where you talk about your personal problems, ultimately they are not related to the board's topic.

If you want to post greentext stories and feels, you should use /r9k/.
>>>/r9k/

If you want advice about personal problems, you should use /adv/.

If you want me to investigate any specific examples of inappropriate deletions, please give me post numbers or links on http://rbt.asia/cgl/

However, checking the logs shows that fewer than 20 threads were deleted in the last seven days, and none of them are jumping out at me as being inappropriate.

I'll try to come by tomorrow at lunch.

I'll make no effort to identify myself!

The janitor was concerned that people were upset about the removal of this thread (http://rbt.asia/cgl/thread/S7400156)) and asked me to give an explanation as to the reason why it was deleted.

The problem was that the videos being posted had strayed far beyond the topic of cosplay and lolita, and were simply videos of random weirdos.

If you want to post strange, embarrassing videos directly related to cosplay and lolita that's fine (and the thread had originally started on that premise). But if you just want to post unrelated "cringe inducing" or "autism" videos, then /cgl/ isn't the place for it.

Can I remove sticky now or is it still necessary.

/cgl/ is a board for the following:

• Cosplay
• Lolita
• J-fashion
• Conventions & gatherings
• Sewing & prop-making
• Craftsmanship tools/materials & tutorials
• LARPing
• Discussing accessories such as wigs/circle lenses/prosthetics/makeup (These must be within the context of the board-related topics listed above; weight loss threads should be kept in /fit/, beauty and fashion generals should be kept in /fa/)

Our board rules are simple:

• Thread content must be related to one of the categories covered in the list above. Off-topic threads and replies will be deleted.
• Singling people out maliciously is not tolerated and will result in a ban. 4chan is not your personal army. The singling out rule applies to vendetta threads and replies being made to attack a specific person, as well as predatory behavior like doxing. Discussing an individual in general isn't against the rules as long as it's done within context of cosplay/lolita/j-fashion.
• Advertising and spamming are not allowed.
• This is a work-safe board.

If you encounter a post that is in violation of these rules, USE THE REPORT BUTTON! Please help us keep the board healthy and free of off-topic posts!

If you have concerns about the moderation of /cgl/, please voice them on /q/, as /q/ was made precisely for that purpose. Also, you are much more likely to get the attention of a mod if you post your feedback on /q/.

The /cgl/ janitors have not been specifically targeting any cosplayers; they have simply been enforcing the board's rules:

"2. Don't bring community drama into this board. Singling out individual cosplayers and trolling them will not be tolerated."

Discussing a cosplayer's work is perfectly welcome on /cgl/. Personally attacking other cosplayers and stirring up drama surrounding them is not.

If a thread is made with the intention to trash talk a cosplayer, it will be removed, which seems to be the case with respect to Jessica Nigri.

>> No.6627352 [View]

While we welcome constructive criticism and feedback, we'd like such discussions to be posted on /q/. They are much more likely to be brought to the attention of moderators that way, and therefore more likely to be acted upon.

Thanks.

Except the /fit/meet wasn't chubby/skinny autistic guys. Everyone was cool and we had a lot of fun.

Also, I think if there's a desire to do a meet, it should be done earlier - maybe February or March - after holidays so people don't have travel obligations.

And you'll never be able to prove that people can or can't deadlift 315. I know the idea is to ensure that people that show up are fit and "not autistic," but the nature of meetups is such that people without social skills are a lot less likely to show up.

99% sure there were some guys at the /fit/meet this summer who couldn't deadlift 3plate.

Why do people have to deadlift 315? What about all the girls?

I'll come to any 4chan meetup in NYC - but 10 months is forever away. Also, I was unaware that /cgl/ and /fit/ cared about each other.

What in the world?

/fit/ + /cgl/ meet 10 months from now? Just.. what?
