God, shorting the market with max leverage after the FOMC release last wednesday was the easiest short in the history of shorts. Literally the fed announcing they don't give a FUCK about good economic prints anymore, they want to see unemployment hit 5% and until it does they're just going to keep choking out the economy until they get what they want. CPI came in soft? Don't care. GDP declining? lol w/e. The best part of the presser was when Jerome took pains to make it as clear as possible that the FOMC unanimously bumped up their dot plot by half a percent even with FULL KNOWLEDGE of the day before's rosy CPI print.

Look, this is easy. You know 6 months ago when bad news was good news because it meant the fed would have to pivot sooner? Well now all good news is bad news because the fed has made clear they DO. NOT. FUCKING. CARE. about good news any more. Not until there are bread lines in the street again at the very least. At a bare minimum we're going to see at least 10% beneath previous lows on all the major indices in H1 23. Just short it all and come back in 6 months to free money.
