so if im reading this right, if I leave my bitcoin in the exchange during the fork Ill get a free amount of the forkcoin and it wont affect the amount of bitcoin I have? for example it wont give me half classic and half cash?

whats the downside besides the risk of leaving it on an exchange? even if it plummets to 1$ thats a free dollar, no?
