But does it then follow that USD will be replaced by Bitcoin?
You guys make a huge leap of faith here, and you're acting based on an emotional bias. You WANT it to succeed.
You keep foaming about Satoshi's achievement, third entry accounting, reinventing the wheel, toppling central banks and whatnot.. these are all ideals. The world might not necessarily adopt the best or smartest ideas out there. It never really has. We've known for centuries that war is bad, m'kay. Still we wage war because that's the reality. And I say the reality is that you won't be paying your groceries with BTC. Ever.

I've been accused of "Dunning-Kruger" whenever I criticize Bitcoin. Like it was somehow forbidden or stupid to poke holes in the crypto dream.

Why would your state accept coins instead of USD?
There's nothing to gain from it, because they won't even hold the coins. They'll just have to put in extra labor to sell the coins and possibly even lose money.

After Bitcoin's recent crash there was a demand for fake news to pump the value back up, and this is what we're seeing.
When big boys want the price to drop, they print news about China banning all ICOs, and when they want it back up, they claim governments are giving BTC the green light.

Is BTC gonna be millions in the future?

If not, I'm not even gonna bother. I'm considering buying 0.050 BTC and just holding until it's 1 million USD.
