I realize this gets said over and over, but it really isn't true.

Contracts are just a relationship put into writing. To say that transactional law is getting automated is the equivalent of saying that RELATIONSHIPS are getting automated.

If you have literally equivalent relationships among all people, sure, that can be automated. But the second there is any change or negotiation whatsoever how do you code for that? What takes the legal authority - the code or the natural language?

Did a lawyer write the code? Who is responsible for what it says? Do you know how many different actions can arise from even a medium-complexity contract? Did you code for all of those considerations?

This stuff is basically as theoretical as early day Ethereum and you people on this board act like it's already a done deal.

Just look up any of the research in natural langauge processing. There's a reason words are the Jew's preferred mechanism as >>21876894 insinuates.

There's about 5,000 ways any given contract can be interpreted and it is extremely naive to think you can "automate" that. Again, all that does is create TWO major ways to litigate every relationship: the contract and the code.
