>for what
I would refer you to the baseline protocol website for more information: https://docs.baseline-protocol.org/

But being brief, the main advantages are:
The Baseline Protocol is an approach to using the public Mainnet as a common frame of reference between systems, including traditional corporate systems of record, any kind of database or state machine, and even different blockchains or DLTs. It is particularly promising as a way to reduce capital expense and other overheads while increasing operational integrity when automating business processes across multiple companies.

Business processes like supply chains & supply chain management, service agreements, and thinks like SAPs ERP as well as CRM.

To be able to automate a significant portion of these processes allows you to essentially fire dozens or even hundreds of employees and replace them simply with code. You can then hire 5-10 guys to manage that codebase and do any troubleshooting, but ultimately this would lower overhead costs and increase profit margins.

i guess this response is an actual answer to my question

this of course can be refuted by a number of conditions
1. Two major companies are quite certain that neither will scam the other and want to continue B2B operations, but via smart contracts. So in this scenario they trust one another (or manage the node collaboratively) enough to not stake any LINK on the node
2. A large company creates a smart contract where the "other party" is always users of that companies service. In this scenario the thousands of normies using their smart contract are probably going to trust the main company enough to manage both the smart contract and the Oracle data feeds powering that smart contract, again resulting in a need for 0 LINK staked

I guess what im getting at is that it's really only imperative that there is trustless Oracles in situations where one of two parties involved in the smart contract isn't confident they wont be scammed by the other party. Which, in B2B scenarios, is unlikely to happen because it would kill all future business relations

its really interesting, and significant that AMD recognizes Ultra

but why the fuck did they decide to build on EOS, literally nobody cares about EOS and 90% of developers and enterprises are focused on Ethereum
my guess is because EOS is offering to sponsor them with the obscene amount of ICO money it generated, but what a shitty reason to use EOS over the undisputed most prominent and important smart contract platform, ETH
