There may be a few lucky people who made it, but usually luck does not happen without some effort to expose yourself to positive risks.
BTC miners in 2009 saw potential in a new technology at a time when most people didn't even know about cryptocurrencies.
I remember trying out mining Doge for curiosity a few years later, but did not understand cryptos and trading at that time and ignored a lot of opportunities.
A lot of people sold their BTC after seeing a small profit instead of waiting longer to make it.
If someone only gets very lucky he usually won't have the ability and the mindset to keep that fortune for long.

Seriously can someone explain to me how he calculates his 1000$ or higher LINK price ?
My original expectation were between 30-50$/LINK and a possible pump to 100-300$/LINK for a few days/weeks.

10k is the suicide stack and 50k is the make it stack..
I missed the ETH boat, and ignored the messages telling me to buy it when it was 10$.
I somehow missed Link during the ICO, but took a loan to get a good stack later.
Those who are entering now will probably not be able to invest enough to make it.
But if you are lucky you can reinvest what you get out of it into the next good investment in 5-10 years.
It seems /biz manages to find interesting investments, and it will probably continue for many years like this in the future.

You cant time the market.
I thought i could. I thought i could trade BTC on margin to increase my LINK stack before it singularities.

Went from 5 BTC to 14 on margin. I was pretty good. Kept it simple with TA. For a while BTC was predictable for all of 2017.
Right down to 3k i killed it.
Then a stop at entry never hit. Lost 5 BTC.
Then a few losses brought me back down to 1.7BTC. A win here and there but overall loss.

The sting? If i had held LINK the entire time i’d have made 45BTC anyway as it has rallied hard since 2k sats when i made
The choice of continuing margin trading.

Lesson: you cant time the market. Buy good shit and be patient.
