I am setting up a financial portfolio. I live in the U.S. and will be buying shares of a U.S. domestic stock index fund. I have read online many people recommend to also buy shares of an international (non-U.S.) stock index fund. However some people say not to do that and just stick with U.S. only. What should I do biz?

You're not alone buddy. I took out around 8k€ in payday loans to invest in crypto back in October 2017. Too bad I was an impatient little cunt and totally missed the golden rocket of December because I was too busy leveraging BTC at 20x.

I browsed /biz/ for hours every day and was well aware of the potential moon missions that could've actually made me money. I was so close to "investing" in some of the coins that rocketed during December, but chose to margin trade BTC because of my impatience. Ended up losing everything around March of this year and I now have around 13k€ in debt. I also disregarded my studies during this 5 month period, spending my time either looking at the charts, browsing 4chan or smoking weed.

I finally got my life back on track around April and have been making incremental improvements ever since. I haven't actually been to /biz/ in over 6 months but decided to look it up today out of interest (and because I'm a bit tipsy atm).

I learned to take ownership of my retarded behaviour and I'm currently just trying to look for normal work and focus on creating healthy habits. I almost lost my apartment and my privilege to study at the best business school in my country, but prevailed.

The worst part is, I'm gonna have access to ungodly amounts of money soon and I'm afraid I'll just repeat the mistakes of my past. Hopefully I'll have more sense and I'll finally understand that 3% yearly gains (on average) are good enough, any system promising more is way too risky for a retard like me.

Anyone else to pussy to FOMO into pumps anymore? Last year, I would FOMO into anything and unironically is what lead me to grow my stack up from 10K to 300k+. But, I held shitcoins after January and watched it crash down. Now I'm too scared to FOMO in.
