My father has offered to put 300 bucks a month into an index find/ETF/whatever while I'm at uni and before I got a job. As a europoor, an austrian to be specific, what's a good choice for that? I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to traditional finance.

I already fell for that meme two years ago at the worst possible time and gambled with 2k of my own money. Haven't lost any money, but haven't gained anything either.

Just a heads up, I bought way too many frivolous purchases this past month rather than buying crypto.

How do you do it anons, how do you keep going, at best I could set aside like 1000$ a year, meaning I could buy my own house and retire in a few hundred years or so, my dad recently told me to take out a loan and rent a house to people, I don't want to be hundreds of thousands in debt, I don't like the grind, I know a recession is coming, there's no way this 2 million dollar 2 bedroom housing market is sustainable, the cheapest places I can find are 1 bedroom basement airb&b's in someone's basement along the lines of "short term rental no pets no smoking no meat no loud music no scorpios". I've been thinking about living in a van in the woods more and more, I've been thinking I don't have a choice
