My dad was making $16 an hour...in 1976. His job was to literally stand on an assembly line and pack tape into boxes and put the shipping labels on it. I shit you not. Fast forward to present day. I applied to 1500 jobs, I have a 200K STEM education, no debt, and coding skills, and I have never made more than $12 an hour. Feels bad man.
