I thought it was hilarious that the female CEO ETF seemingly lacked options contracts despite being a decent price per share. RH doesn't let me properly short.

So we are 1 month away from bakkt and possibly the first etf, considering most hedge fund wants to put bitcoin as an option to 401k.
Bitcoin is extremely oversold, with no "support" on sight. What are your thoughts fellow intellegent /biz/ writers ?

PS: No stupid muh bull/bear dinguses. You guys keep shorting/longing daily on bitmex then cry in some dark corner or google how to kill y ourselves.

Ask not what you can read to get better at trading, but what you can trade to get better at reading.

the most annoying thing is there's a big part of me that doesn't even want to stop being a doomer. I feel somewhat justified in my doom - stagnant wages, smug dumb boomer bosses, can never afford to buy a house despite a wage well above national average while said boomers take all my money in the form of rent, normies are irritating, central banks and government stealing money, etc. etc.

To stop being a doomer I'd have to ignore all these things and become an NPC/normie.

There's also a self-sabotaging element that I don't want to become happy by following the boomer path because I know the effort required to reach boomer-tier in 2018 from scratch takes the same effort as it took to reach millionaire-tier in 1970. Then when I do reach that level all the boomers will be like "see, amazing what a firm handshake and hard work gets you" when in fact I had to go to university and rack up enormous debts (which they didn't have to), move to another city for work, live in a rented room in a tiny house in the roughest area of town while walking to work and not ever going out and living so incredibly frugally for half a decade just to get a fucking deposit to buy a stupid flat that's half the size of said boomer's mansion which he bought with his shitty retail job 40 years ago and paid off 2 decades ago. IT'S NOT THE SAME

Yes I know how pathetic all that is, I really qualify for
>hates hypocrites therefore hates himself

>buy 3k link because of biz memes, forget about it
>see it on cnn 3 years later worth $1000 each, remember your wallet
>sell, only 15% capital gains tax, enjoy rest of life as multimillionaire

>buy 30k link because of deep understanding of the tech and it's implication
>religiously watch the price every day, swing trade constantly
>feel the fear of 'this is the top' every time it moons, sell most of stack before it hits $20 at 40% capital gains tax
>shave 10-15 years off your retirement age at best, continue wageslaving to make ends meet

Every wonder why you don't see all those early adopter ETH anons flashing their houses or cars at us? They didn't actually leave, you never leave. They just sold all the way up, their wallets were empty long before the bullrun to $1500.

What is a print magazine for someone who is a catholic and wants to be well versed on current events? I enjoyed the Economist when I was subscribed to it so I might resubscribe since it gets me reading and I find that I have something to smalltalk about.

the whole point of making money is to make as much money as you can without actually having to work, pay attention to, or even think about making money

if you actually have to spend all day, all night and all week constantly flipping through and checking shit, and or working 80-100 hour work weeks, anything more than 4 hours or so every month, you're doing it wrong and you're a slave

I know this is larp central but I have 30btc at 20, so could realistically be worth 10 million by 30 in the future which I think is elite (I have the education to go with it)

What I'm asking is how the FUCK do you find an equal partner or do the elite marry normal people now?

The only place I can think of would be places like Eton but obviously that's when your young. Do people's parents just "arrange" them, not like Indians but introduce people to each other and hope they match?

Advice from actual "old money" would be greatly appreciated

I don't know about making retarded gains, but if you are willing to get decent at algebra and a scripting language like Python/JS/PHP you can definitely make money.

I don't have the 25K needed to day trade so I've got a swing trade bot that takes both short and long positions based on data extracted from tracking 50 stocks (just find 3-4 sectors and get a few companies from each of them.)

Build a backtester based on previous weeks and years and test all strategies before making a purchase, either enter a short (3-5 days) position or a long (20-45 days) position. I won't reveal my algorithms you should be able to build a profitable one pretty easy (not a retarded gains profitable one though.) I regularly beat the S&P although I'm constantly hand testing new stocks before passing them into the trader.

Most brokers have API's for this.
