Is anyone else hear anticipating something utterly fucking insane or equally retarded to happen? I feel like we’re in incompletely uncharted territory now and crypto has gotten super mainstream. This does not feel like 2018, the market has busted and boomed three times now - everyone expects it to do it again. All you have to do is invest now and sit on the money for a few years. I have normie friends talking about dollar cost averaging in to the market and how they’re excited for the bear market. That was not a thing in 2018, even this board was figuring crypto was over.

We live in an era of people irresponsibly dumping large amounts of money into fucking GameStop and meme investing, this is not like 2018 at all where people were convinced shit would never come back. People are desperate and are beginning to realize following the traditional boomer stock market investing will never get them a house - they have lost faith in the system and are more than willing (I.e desperate enough) to gamble on crypto after seeing retarded normies become millionaires overnight last year.

Even if we keep going down, it’s not like it’s only retail that expects Bitcoin to recover. All it takes is one of these hungry, newer hedge funds to be like “we have millions of dollars in assets, I want us to have billions. I’m going to risk 0.5% of our cash reserves and market buy $2,000,000 worth of BTC when it reaches 10k” to start a cascading effect of institutions rapidly buying.

I feel like we’re either going to see an insane rally that happens in just a few weeks’ time that prices out most normies or we are going to see beyond brutal regulations rolled out to try and surpress the price so normies panic sell. I’m talking about exchanges getting shut down overnight and all off ramps being made illegal.

I think both are equally likely. I don’t think we are going to see a traditional bear market like 2018-2020 this time.
