No thanks, I've seen way too many shitcoins and your coins has been buried beneath a mountain of shitcoins. Failed many times, lost good chances many times. I was there to observe, couldn't help but feel sad for you. Then again, stupid people exist to be stepped on. The natural cycle of life continues.

Make sure you research coins before purchasing

Don't take out loans or credit for crypto - Don't spend money you can't afford to lose. This isn't a 'money tree.'

Dips happen often, don't freak out and panic sell

Don't go all in on one coin, it works sometimes but it can also screw you

If you're new, I would advise you to keep most of your portfolio in top 20 coins unless you've got a gambling streak.

Good luck

(A lot of these people are advising you to buy link, go for it if you believe in the project but make sure it's just a portion of your portfolio.)

For anyone who is skeptical of why BTC is actually rising - it's driven by ridiculous price arbitrages for cash in places like Zimbabwe and Venezuela, those dealers are getting ~13,500 USD per BTC, those guys keep having to restock and that's having an effect on worldwide exchange prices. One of the best ways to be "short" Venezuela or Zimbabwe, i.e. bet on their governments collapsing, is to be long BTC and short the official bank note; which shady forex traders can do through non-US brokers.

Should be a lesson for anyone who is getting their news from /biz/ and /pol/ that these places are where people go to cry and brag, not where you get news from

It literally costs about $2500-3000 in electricity alone to mine a fucking bitcoin.
>illiquidity and hoarding
What the fuck are you talking about, leverage is widely available in BTC markets and they're not at all illiquid. Just because not all BTC are traded actively doesn't mean that the entire value of the BTC market isn't being traded daily.
>buyers in a boom like this
Yeah, if you bought @ 7.5k, you're probably not too clever. You're also not very clever if you can't realize an obvious recapitalization when you see one.

>pump BTC by putting in dollars
>run out of dollars
>fugg.jpg
>get dollars from selling BTC you acquired while pumping
>use dollars to continue pumping
>sell BTC slowly at new ATH ~10k over a few months, prop the market up from crashing below ~9k
>???
>profit

So the outcome of cryptocurrency seems to be positive. The rise of Bitcoin could end all currency competition in which may include fiat. It doesn't seem to be that bad when comparing it to the dark age of cryptocurrencies, the fall of Bitcoin to a mere penny would also mean that all altcoin prices would fall into as comparable as a pebble. Bitcoin should be the only acceptable cryptocurrency out there, and there is no such thing as the "next" Bitcoin. All delusions aside, you have to accept that you missed the cryptocurrency age, and by that, you also have to accept no matter how small gains you get from Bitcoin. By mid-2018, only less than 5% of the global population are probably gonna own more than 0.65btc.

>if this shit doesn't crash now and instead rises to like 10 billion marketcap, after the crash the entire crypto market will be anally raped by the MSM and we'll have one hell of a bear market. say bye bye to normie money pouring in.
Let it be. Now is not the time for normies to get in yet. The system is way too complicated for them to comprehend yet and the seas are too rough, they can't even hold their coins properly for more than two days.
