I have no idea why they are taking so long giving us a tiny bit of information. They've given us almost no updates on development these past few months. I remember when everyone was expecting the mainnet launch in Q2 and they allowed us to continue believing this without updating us. We've just constantly heard "we're still on track" and "the team have made significant progress". We're two weeks away from the deadline and yet we have absolutely no information.

I think it's positive desu.
When things went wrong they always clarified stuff when pressured (granted sometimes they needed a bit too much pressure to my taste).
They also treat the project like a company with shareholders. You dont make announcements of announcements.

I'm fed up with this mindset. Please grow a pair. When you're done with school the real world will eat you alive. Instant gratification is a lie. Don't be a victim. Developers and testers have been updating you every single week and you still need someone to hold your hand. Please crawl back in the womb where it's warm and comfy.

No. Richard said "I expect we will deliver mainnet well before Q3" and as Q3 approached we didn't get any indication from the team that it was delayed and why it was delayed. In fact we kept on getting the same "we're still on track" bullshit that we're getting now. In the "real world" this is simply unacceptable. It's not a desire for "instant gratification" either. I'm not demanding that they launch it now. I would be fine with them delaying it. All I'm asking for is transparency and professionalism.

In the roadmap it says q3. Period. Yes, Richard said it could come earlier but hey, that's development. It's done when it's done. If you have any idea what Lition stands for and what it could do, a week or 2 later because of testing is insignificant.

>> No.22562380

Official target has always been Q3.
It's still Q3. They have two weeks left to launch.
In two weeks without a mainnet and without info on why the delay you're allowed to bitch.

>> No.22562382

>>22561961
No there is no issue. The testing is live. I repeat, it's LIVE. You can see everything. Everything is fine and you get regular updates from the testers. The real reason you guys are complaining is because other coins had more gains and in your little mind that's a loss.

>In the roadmap it says q3.
Yeah. If it's due for Q3 then Richard should not have said that it's like to come before Q3. As soon as they changed their plans they should have corrected Richard and informed the community instead of leading everyone to believe that they had found this major issue.

But anyway let's go through the roadmap and see what they haven't achieved and whether or not they've been transparent about why they haven't achieved it. Remember I don't care about the delays, I care about the lack of communication and the lack of transparency. If they fail to meet their targets, even if they're just informal targets, they should be telling us why they didn't meet them. In fact they didn't even tell us THAT they had failed to reach those targets. We just know that no transparency means they failed to meet that particular target.

Q1:
>Fix the IBFT Consensus Issue on the Blockchain
They didn't do achieve this. In the quarterly "dev update" we didn't get an update and only a description of the problem and that they had made "significant progress". They even said that mainnet is likely to launch very soon. Obviously mainnet didn't launch soon and we weren't told that it was delayed or why it was delayed.

Q2:
>Launch of the Syndicated Loans dApp Sidechain
Didn't happen. We haven't been updated on this.
>Launch of the Blockchain Certificates dApp Sidechain
Didn't happen. We haven't been updated on this.

Q3:
>Accepting Lition as Payment for Electricity
Hasn't happened. We're at the end of Q3 and it looks like this will seep in Q4.
>Mainnet 2.0
Possibly will happen. 2 weeks left and we have no date.

I want to be clear. I am extremely bullish on Lition, probably more than you are. In every other area Lition excels. Transparency is by far their biggest weakness.

I think you think I'm this random biz shitposter. I'm also not thinking that mainnet will be delayed. I've also made it explicitly clear that I would be fine if they did delay it. The problem I have is the shit transparency.

Also it wasn't a week or two later because of testing. They delayed it an entire quarter because of testing. Which is great. I'm glad that they did. The whole point is that they never told us.

Thanks for actually taking the time and formulating some decent "FUD". I agree with everything you have written and this is also my biggest issue(s) with Lition. The lack of communication and transparency is my biggest gripe on a daily basis.

It is the biggest reason to why we have such bad FUD. Because there is no communication, neither we, the FUD'sters or anyone else actually knows anything at all about the progress. All we know is "Q3". Thankfully for us all, we will know more in the next two weeks.

Richard probably got carried away with excitement, but anything can happen in development and a minor fix can delay it a bit. The truth is the whitepaper says q3, so stick with that.

About q1. You only quoted the title. If you read the paragraph they say they will find a solution for the consensus in q1 and fix it by q3. This they did, against all odds because the problem was highly theoretical and rare.

About q2. True. But that's hsrd when you're fixing the consensus issue isn't it? Besides that there's a lot of regulatory uncertainty at the moment. Luckily European wide regulation has been announced and it's expected in the upcoming weeks.

About q3. Same as q2. They applied for an e-money license. You have to wait for approval now and we have the upcoming EU regulations which specifically mention this.

>> No.22563257

don't really care whether mainnet releases in q3 or not desu. if it's delayed I'll buy the dip. Considering selling a portion of my stack so if mainnet is delayed and it dips I can buy back in when its lower. Team has proven its competency in everything except delays, which is not really a problem in crypto.

>Richard probably got carried away with excitement
That's perfectly fine. It's the lack of correction afterwards. Also in the 31st March "dev update" Patricio indicated that the mainnet would launch soon after, so it wasn't just that. Please read what I'm writing. My only problem is the lack of transparency.
>If you read the paragraph they say they will find a solution for the consensus in q1 and fix it by q3. This they did, against all odds because the problem was highly theoretical and rare.
I completely agree. If you read anything that I wrote, you would know that I have a problem with the lack of transparency, not a hypothetical (or real) lack of progress.
>True. But that's hsrd when you're fixing the consensus issue isn't it?
You know what I'm going to say. Transparency. We've almost finished Q3 and we've heard absolutely nothing about this, despite it being a Q2 target.
>Besides that there's a lot of regulatory uncertainty at the moment.
Completely irrelevant to opening a sidechain. But there was even more regulatory uncertainty when they made the target. And if that was the reason (which is wasn't), then why didn't they just tell us?
