It doesn't behoove the existing powers to choose a cryptocurrency they can't control to replace a system that works for them, and has been working for a significant amount of human history. Worst case scenario gold would be a reserve currency.

The banks and powers that be would create their own bespoke coin that they can control. Look at XRP's price chart, not only is it volatile, it's probably the most horrifying chart I've ever seen. You simply can't have that sort of volatility and oscillation. You can't create a bunch of basement dwelling billionaires. It doesn't make any sense, regardless of any perceived savings on payment processing or transaction times or whatever the fuck. 10k xrp is a nice number yes. Minimum I recommend is 2k-2.5k so you are well above that. 2k xrp will happen sooner than you might think and you can sell some then for fiat if you want.
