Why dividend stocks? Unless you're outpacing the summation of actual inflation (price increases, inflation etc, assumed to be around 5-8%), why not choose another route?

Granted I don't support crypto entirely either, considered it's price drivers, but most stocks by my research that outpace 5.5% in dividends are very risky. The reason WHYthe dividends are so high is to attract investor capital. Beta scores alone on some of these stocks alone should make you walk. There's much better out there. Fundrise being one but it's quite illiquid (30-90 fund withdrawal yet returns are around 7-12%).
