16819450 No.16819450 [Reply] [Original]

I have 2679 ETH. What's the best way to make passive income off of it with very low risk?

For example, putting it all on Compound is too high of a risk for me due to the possibility of a contract bug.

ok, but it's the lowest of risk you gonna have

I got about 500, not going to risk it in some retarded ass contract.
You can't make any passive income from it until staking.

500ethlet reporting, I agree DeFi is in its infancy atm but is the only way to earn passive income. At least you have 2.6k which is a shitton of eth, try putting like 33% of it and hold the rest for eth 2.0

larp. anybody with that much eth would know to just wait it out for staking. there isn't a completely safe way to earn interest on eth currently as they all exist on the application layer (or worse, third party websites like monaco)

staking isn't completely safe too, but at least the responsibility is full on your side and you don't have to trust anybody.
Those centralized eth lending services are dangerous. Everything is fine and dandy as long as eth is going down or stagnant, but I think a >5x pump would bankrupt several of them. They are lending them for shorting after all, including exchanges. Massive risk.

coinbase will offer staking for ethereum, so it's virtually risk-free. coinbase is insured and regulated up the asshole, i'm comfortable using them
