Henlo frens. So some of you might know me as the unemployed autist with the PhD in Physics posting threads like this for the past year.

Well I finally found a job...delivering pizzas.

After 500 jobs applications, I’m done. Yes I am content with delivering pizzas for the rest of my life. Why? Because getting a real job entirely revolves around attractiveness and social skills. And I am an ugly autistic sack of shit.

All the crap you hear about the perfect resume by experts is all BS cope and lies. I’ve seen chads with horrendous resumes still get high paying jobs just because they made the HR stacies wet. Even socially awkward and shy chads were perceived to be “cute”.

Life is entirely determined by phenotype and genotype - and I am the loser type based on Clique theory.

Besides, I’ve already forgotten 99.99% of all the math, physics and coding I learnt and applied over the last 10 years. Plus I get to save money living with parents and buy more crypto.

How to get a job:
1. Hygiene: shower, brush teeth, shave, & comb hair daily. Haircut monthly
2. Understand the position you are applying for, and cater a cover letter to that position.
3. Interact with other humans in human conversation, and at least pretend to care about their experiences as though they mattered.
4. Lower your expectations and standards to levels of your competence and prior experience

I received 4 job offers in STEM since Thanksgiving.

Take an hour or 2 a day to focus on self-improvement and you will make it.

I only have a bachelor's in physics with really shitty grades and even I got defense contracting jobs. I'm also an ugly nerd with assbergers and so is every other boomer working in that industry. My best job was with AECOM working for the US Navy on Diego Garcia. It's a remote island in the Pajeet Ocean. Only way in/out is via military flights. Far away from civilization on a tropical island with B-1 bombers. Physics PHD guys were making $350k for 9 month terms doing some radar management projects. My job was "GIS specialist" but all I really did was set up AMX boards for the commands' projector maps. Was on the clock 18 hours a day because ain't much else to do but be at work.

Possible but not really easy. I have a PhD in applied math, applied for around 350 jobs, about half of those were data science. Got two offers, one data science and one software engineering. Picked the software one because I didn't want to move to London for the other job, now regretting it because I hate this job. I want to switch to data science now, applied for 100 jobs and nothing yet. To be fair, I've been lazy as fuck and haven't been spending much of my time learning stuff and doing projects lately. Still, I've done a few online courses and projects. PhD by itself enough for them to hire you though, you need to do a good bit of extra work. Of course, if your PhD is actually on data science/machine learning then it should be easy.

Virgin till he was 26 (though I have no proof he actually lost it). He had never had a job, just riding on disability payouts because he's legally blind. I have a BS in Business Administration. Utterly useless degree. All my jobs didn't need the degree and its been over 3 years since graduation. I've been jumping from crummy job to crummy job. I stopped tracking how many jobs I've applied to, last I checked it was about 1,200 positions.

I have also heard these experts say its all about the resume. I don't believe it anymore. Over and over I'd get advice from reddit on my resume and staffing agencies on what to do to get a job was eben ready to walk out when a boomer woman was telling that I have to get out there LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Yes she did say Twitter. Utterly useless. I stopped bothering.

Then it hit me between 6 months to about 2 years ago when I saw 2 different resumes. One from a girl whose had shitty job after shitty job with one well paying job. Her resume was literally barfing all the details of her job almost like a job posting for every job she had. The second a woman who was getting paid more than me and actually had an opportunity for a better job than me. The same thing even though I worked in building the job was at and could easily be taught the job (the woman wouldn't know how to do it either). Each position was like 1/3 in duties as a wall of text on her resume. The very thing those redditors would say wouldnt get you a job. The very thing all those staffing agencies would tell you not to do. Yet those two women had opportunities for better jobs than me.

Then I got hit with another brick. I didn't get a chance for the position of the woman who retired that was formerly my unofficial manager. I knew a lot about the job and would need little more training for the higher level aspects which are easy. Great job as you had to do very little but good pay over time. If I got it I'd probably have stopped looking for another job and be content with that one. No chance for an interview given. Nearly 60 year old roastie from another location got an interview and the job. She had to be taught more aspects than what it would've taken them to teach me. She also frequently needed my help because she'd mess up her computer, needed help sending an email, needed help with her printer, needed my help doing work as I was reliable unlike my supervisor who even the roastie thought sucked at the lower tier job that I was doing. I ended up quitting without a 2 weeks notice during peak season for that department in the office. Also she asked me for help with her resume I ignored her and something else personal because as she said I'm smart. After all this I'm somehow the unqualified one not worthy of an interview.

There's another part.

I try not to care anymore but I still feel it. My nervousness in phone interviews, however it goes away in in-person interviews. Trying to accept just being financially poor but I know it disappoints my parents.

We are at the point resumes are verified by algorithms. You miss key words - out it goes.
Depends of course where you apply and if they have enough to afford throwing people away but it's a thing. There's also a bias in word choice - some try to infer personality by typing style.

So the resume can literally break you before any person even sees it.

You need to make some friends, do you still talk to any family members? I don't think I've ever even got a response back from an actual job application, the only jobs I've got are through friends and family members.

Go sit at a bar and start up conversations with anyone that will sit down, eventually jobs will come up and just tell them your situation, i did university for a bit then dropped out and got work on a construction site, try and play the underdog card as well, just say your looking for someone to give you a chance, and that you're loyal, some hard ass construction boss might feel a sorry for you and give you a chance like me.

Mate are you fucking soft? I don't know what it's like in anonistan but here in Bongland you can just do a year long teacher training course (with a bursary of £20,000+) then get into teaching. With your phd you could even skip that, since you don't need a qualification to teach adults and you could get back into academia proper. you could tutor undergrads at £20 an hour easily. Also, since private tutoring is practically untraceable you can completely cover your employment gap. Just lie about everything, what have you got to lose? Pic related.

You could get lots of research and lab jobs with your PhD. You also easily learn enough coding to make a living if you had the IQ to get that PhD.

You'd have a million better opportunities than delivering pizzas.

Awe sick! I don't want an uggo like you delivering my pizzas. You'll kill my appetite.

Unless you're a legit retard, you can definitely do better than that. If you don't have a nice suit, buy one, and practice interviewing. The interview is the most important thing to get right. Watch youtube videos about how to ace an interview. Look up all the questions they are likely to ask, and practice with friends or family. Answer the questions by yourself even by yourself and record it, then you can review, and make improvements.

Looks do make a difference, but you can definitely help yourself by dressing well, and exercising good hygiene.

Don't be a baby. Keep improving yourself, and trying until you make it.

So you sent in job applications, presumably online. Did you ever follow up any of them in person? Did you call the companies to follow up? How many times did you call them? Did you send them a card thanking them for meeting with you? Did you continue to go to them, day after day, saying that you're following up on your application?
>If yes, then I'm extremely sorry indeed sir
If no, I'm about to drop a knowledge bomb for you sir. All the people in charge, who pull the levers of power, are going to be boomers in 95+% of situations. Simply sending a faceless application to an email address will not make you stand apart.
>The only people who gets hired are the friends/family of boss
Think about it like this. There is someone who shows up everyday, telling the boss that they know someone who is hard working and capable for the job. You, on the other hand, have never met anyone who works there, and have no one speaking on your behalf. The boss doesn't know who you are at all. Its not that the insider family chad was any better than you. They've likely met the boss, the boss can picture them in their mind when they think of the job. The insider family chad is doing all the things I told you to do. He's no different than you
>There are no relevant jobs where I live
If you live in tech, go to Silicon Valley. If you want to be an actor, go to Hollywood. You get the idea. Go to the place the jobs are, then pretend its your 8 hours a day full time job to be in person at the physical places of the jobs inquiring about the jobs.
>Good luck anon, don't give up and keep trying

What delusional drivel.Bottom of the ladder HR employees are the ones who receive and vet your applications. 99% of them are braindead retards that couldn't differentiate between someone who knows about fluid mechanics against someone who specializes in electrical components. Absolute mongoloids have acquired positions that they should have never been in because there is extreme bias during the interview process. You could be someone who can do the work absolutely perfectly, it would never fucking matter because Stacy in HR thinks you look creepy.
