I had used google authenticator on my old phone for logging into multiple exchanges. I saved my backup key, got a new phone.. wiped my old phone, and restored authenticator from the backup key. However, only one code comes up. Was I supposed to back up each code separately for each exchange? I was under the impression I had one backup code for my account. Now I can't get into my exchange accounts.

Nah I just checked with Bittrex support and they should be able to remove it after verifying my identity, since I went through KYC on all the exchanges. Disregard this post

Just had to do the same thing. All exchanges were good and helped me except hitbtc. They won't.

Yes. You needed the recovery code for each exchange.
You lost it in a boating accident.
