Whether you give a shit about him or not. Shillbert gets things done. He owns 2.5% of the ETC supply, a large amount of ZEN and through Grayscale as subsidiaries got ZEN and ETC (and ZEC, LTC, BTC) their own SEC accredited investment trust. After the ZEN listing on Binance and ETC listing on Coinbase the only thing left to shill in his own fund and profile is MANA (Decentraland). Long stretch, but Shillbert also owns Coindesk through DCG & Grayscale as subsidiary too. This guy has a huge outreach and network effect, and I am pretty sure MANA will be taken for a nice ride.

and I can't make this shit up. The whitepaper does not make it sound like a complete scam. MANA entitles you to scarce quantities of digital plots of land. Apparently people pay anywhere from 200$-800$k to creators. Go make some money with uncle Barry anon.

don't you get it. We profit from their faggotery.
Remember how big shit got when Crypto Kitties started trending?
I still have 12 ETH stuck in some digital fucking countries which is all profit.

We might be onto something here too.
Trust me Anon. Fidget spinners where also a fucking thing.

>> No.9963321

psst, take your ETC profits and buy some digital swamp land anon. This can't go wrong, I am not kidding you.

>> No.9963323

If it makes money it makes sense. Some one bought digital land through Decentraland for 13k and Flipped it for 200k. Gaming is becoming more and more popular. If this can develop further it can gain hype of popular streamers and turn into a fortnite thing.

> In 2009, the total size of the Second Life economy grew 65% to US$567 million, about 25% of the entire U.S. virtual goods market. Gross Resident Earnings are $55 million US Dollars in 2009 – 11% growth over 2008.[3]

Yes, it is not so far fetched really.

i don't have any calls on this.
Just a decent hunch, and stop-loss.

Agreed there is money in the shit but you actually need to get a shit ton of normies on board. Look at Fortnite vs PubG, anyone can make a new game and it becomes the fad of the week. If I invest in this though will it be around in 20 years to net me a huge profit before it's replaced by something hipper and cooler? That I seriously doubt.

20 Years? Go to stocks if thats how long you are looking to hold. Fortnite blew up in less than a year and is profiting hundreds of millions.

well, second life has been around for 14 years. I definitely think that digital monetization, virtual reality and the concept of Crypto and Tokenization will stay around for at least another 10-20 years too. Related: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindy_effect).). And it may go fast, a company like Microsoft could potentially benefit from implementation of something like this in their Hololens. Speculation of course, but I am seeing a lot of upside here. And not many people probably have considered buying digital plot of land because at first it sounds ridiculous.

I have 9 LAND, 8 in a nice rectangle adjacent to a road.
I think I paid about $1000 for it.
(now that I have written this the idea of paying $1000 for 9 plots of 'digital land' seems insane)

It's not retarded, it's just insane from a global perspective. I checked prices recently and I think I could sell it all for about $10k.
If VR and decentraland hits off I can see an insane bubble that would make this LAND worth millions. It's sort of like buying btc in 2010 when nobody knew if it would be worth anything in a year.

Is the team anywhere capable of building decentralized Secondlife from the ground up? Until there is evidence of them having an actual immersive 3d world this is just buying a square on a DAPP.
