The reason is that REQ is, in fact, the best.

The Esprezzo platform will aggregate data from multiple blockchains, smart contracts, legacy databases, oracles and various external sources to a unified API which provides everything needed to write applications for the next generation of the web.
Esprezzo’s tools include SDKs, REST and GraphQL interfaces, API services to provide access to the leading public and private blockchain networks, a library of easy-to-deploy smart contracts, convenient access to real world data via oracles and more. Our abstract/aggregate data tier is a consensus-based, peer-to-peer network protocol that includes a distributed ledger, a fabric of domain-specific sidechains, and a crypto-token with extremely high transaction speeds. The platform dashboard will provide visibility into Dapp adoption and performance.

The big 3 will be BTC, Eth and Link. Eth for sure needs Link, I believe VB and SN have been working together on developing this entire process a long time. We are getting close Marines.

the team does not expect node operators to pull any profit the first 3 years that is why they have the node incentive 300mil holdings. They plan to keep nodes afloat so the project doesn't faceplant out the gate.

no troll its all been discussed by the chainlink team. 350 million will go to incentivize node operators. Some biztards thought this implied that segey was going to go and give big banks link as if they would just run nodes. The truth is 350 million will go to incentivize node operators, the node operators being mostly biztards that are paying amazon aws fees. If Chainlink didn't incentivize these node operators they would lose $ out of the gate.

Other people already picked your fud apart in March:

Anon 1:
Utterly retarded fud. The news from swift is like 3 weeks old and this retard now decides to take his own spin on it.
Has even less to do with Chainlink, since the nostro poc is not the one CL is involved in.
Swift never said blockchain is a dead end, that is on the retarded blogger
>SWIFT concluded that blockchain/DLT was (in my, not their, words) a dead end.
From SWIFT
>“It is a strategic priority for Swift to work with new technologies like DLT and incorporate them into key solutions like gpi”, says Stephen Gilderdale, chief platform officer, Swift. “We are already working on new PoCs and will continue our R&D efforts to ensure that Swift customers will be able to leverage their existing Swift infrastructure and connectivity to benefit from blockchain services, whether offered by Swift or by third parties, on a secure and trusted platform.”

Anon 2:
Chainlink never had anything to do with the gpi/nostro.

The PoC they're talking about was Fabric.

Also, the article is bullshit. It makes a bunch of inferences that are never stated explicitly by Swift.
Lumens/IBM are doing pretty much the same thing (nostro/vostro), and this system is almost instantaneous.
Meanwhile Swift's gpi takes about a day to complete transactions.

But once again, this has NOTHING to do with Chainlink.
In fact, back in December Swift had already made some lukewarm statements about using DLT for gpi/nostro, so this fud is absolutely ancient.
