>In line at grocery store
>One register open
>55 year old boomer lady in front of me
>waits until all her merchandise is rung up to start digging through her purse for her checkbook
>After 10 light years, she finally finds it
>flips through every page to find the next blank check in sequence
>realizes she needs a pen
>spends another century digging through her purse to find a pen
>takes her time writing out the check in perfect cursive
>Hands it to the cashier
>Cashier has to run it through the processing machine.
>checkout line is now wrapped around the galaxy
>Boomer lady waits until the check is cleared, before taking even more time putting all the shit back in her purse

How else am I supposed to pay rent, you dumb faggot?

>> No.9918921

Not everything takes electronic payments and many of those that do charge absurd fees for the "convenience." I use them to pay my rent instead of cash because it gives me a paper trail I can point to via a bank statement in the event that the landlord tries to accuse me of not paying.

I own a cash for gold. I use checks all the time. It's like a free 3 day loan. Also people lose smaller ones or forget to deposit them forever. I can buy shit with a check if needed, sell it, and get a wire before that shit shoes up anywhere.
