It's literally too complicated for normies. You need to undersstand smart contracts, you need to understand why end-to-end trustlessness is critical to global smart contract adoption. You need to buy a token that has zero meme incentives like masternodes, dividends, airdrops, etc, and has no marketing or hype at all.

Honestly even /biz/ is lucky that Chainlink launched at a time when this board still had a decent number of highly knowledgeable users. If Chainlink had announced their ICO today then /biz/ would never have gotten onto it. The new generation of biztards aren't knowledgeable enough to actually get their head around it, they had to be spoonfed by an earlier generation who have largely moved on to private discords or even just their own obsessive research.
