japan might be the perfect place to get a crypto rolling. they still use IRL cash for EVERYTHING (which is why there are so many vending machines everywhere) so they might be extra impressed by the ability to pay with ones cellphone.

meanwhile here in sweden we already pay with our cellphones every day ever since 2012 so it's not as impressive. we can transfer money instantly to our friend's bank account using our phones and it doesn't have any transaction fee no matter the amount. really need to get crypto rolling before this becomes widespread all over the world, most people probably don't care much about the ideology side of crypto
