the tech, again, arguing about it doesn't change that the tech is bad and solves nothing we haven't already had solutions for. they're spending all their time working on this "decentralized network" part of chainlink because they can't actually solve the oracle side of it.

Oracles can provide a "DNS" like service of sorts and relay you the valid public key of the API you're trying to contact, and then you send your request with your public key (encrypted with the APIs public key, so only they can decrypt it), it's essentially how https works.
