I traded on shittrex since 2017, it was one of the biggest exchanges (or actually the biggest), in terms of volume. Now its fucking dead.
On shittrex, if you want to buy some shitcoin in a good amount, there are nobody to buy it from. Spreads are huge, orders are small. I saw one coin that had literally one-two trades happen in 5 minutes.
The only exchange with decent volume rn is Binance.

oldfags, which are the ones who hold the most bitcoins are all holding strong without moving their coins, this is one of the reasons of low volume. The ones selling right now are normies that came in december and they are slowly selling because they realized they lost more than they could afford and they need money. On the other side we have institutional investors slowly buying from normies whenever they can, paying attention to not let the price increase (they are very experienced traders after all) so they don't lure in anothe wave of normies before they finish accumulating. The price is kept stable and doesn't fall thanks to smart people buying because they are realizing that we will have another december gold rush.

Also remember that normies inflate the price, experienced traders working for organizations are capable of accumulating and keeping the price falling at the same time

None of the exchanges let you do this basic shit. Bitfinex does though and is better for day trading because of the features and interface. To bad they cut amerifags off but I had an account from before and have been using it ok , so hopefully they don't ban me
