/redpill me on student loan bubble situation. Speculators have been saying the bubble is in danger of popping for the last 3 years when the debt was 1.2 trillion. It's now at 1.5 trillion.

Will it pop, and when? The federal government backs some of these companies like Sally Mae, but apparently student loan backed securities/derivatives have recently began being sold. This seems like 2008 all over again, what's the play?

how can I short this pop for profit?

If it were to pop, would I be free of the debt?

The best way I've found so far is buying puts for some of the public traded companies that hold the student loan debt. Timing is key on this, if you buy a 6 month put and it happens in 2 years you're fucked. I guess staggering the puts out could be a decent strategy, but I'm a shitty options trader
