same. it's clear the ICO was bought up by a shill group and pumped pretty heavily here on launch, but it's also clear that this is a real project unlike 99% of the other shit you see shilled here. i read everything I can about it now, and while you can't predict the future, i have the strongest possible conviction in the long term potential of this network. the only thing that gives me pause in the short term is that it's still like 7x ICO price, and there might be some short term selling pressure if the pump group still has more to sell. but i just view that as a buying opportunity

no, but I'll help you with tips.
There are many types of investors here: some invest based on fundamentals (me), for others fundamentals are a meme (they are not wrong) and they invest based on hype. Others day trade and sometimes they do well.

I'm a fundamentals type of guy because my theory is that at some point in the future this tech will be useful, it will get adoption and many shitcoins will perish while a few will surive. I'd like to be in the ones that will survive. Obviously I might be wrong and in 3-5 years we'll realize blockchain was just a fad and the only people who made money were those that knew how to exploit the hype and get out in time.

If you wan to invest based on fundamentals here's how I do it:
- research the project like you were a VC would (I have some experience in the startup scene and I know what to look for); if you don't, start reading up on this cause this is the hard part; there are so many factors that make or break a startup
- after DYOR, always assume you missed something and you need to see what other people think; a good place for this is the ICO announcement thread on Bitcointalk. There usually is some super genius there that will BTFO shit projects.
- you need to gather all the FUD you can about the project and then try to dispel the FUD; biz is good for this cause you have shillers that researched more and they will be happy to dispell the FUD; don't take that /biz/ says at face value and research more
- if a project passed your personal analysis, the FUD was debunked and there is no competitor that already does it, then you should probably consider investing in it

I'm not saying this is the best way. I'm pretty sure there are people here that made shitloads of money just by following the hype. I can't do that so I do what I can. I could have been a millionaire if I wasn't retarded and overdiversified. Caught 3 consecutive 10x moon missions. Sold 2, got BTFO by one. Since then I'm more careful with my money

overdiversification prevented me from becoming a millionaire but it also saved me from losing it all. Depending on your budget, 3 or 4 coins should be a good balance. 1 or 2 is too risky. More than 4 is too diversified unless you have 100k+
