Do you guys actually like what you're doing? I'm a NEET so I don't know how it feels to gamble money, but surely this board isn't just memes and laughs. How many grey hairs have you accumulated since you first started?

Which board are you from?

Crypto is an awesome money maker. Just buy some good coins and forget about ur investment for a few months

See, that's what I don't understand. For every person saying they won the jackpot by buying "THE COIN", 5 more are contemplating suicide because they're almost bankrupt. I'm just a lurker tho so maybe I just don't get the thrill

I refuse to believe anyone is making money in this scam except for the top manipulators

Well, before crypto I was lifting, making around $4k a month, going out on weekends etc

after crypto: no longer work, made like $100 today because btc is doing fuck all. Don't go out or lift ...terrible diet. Need to reassess, but I have improved my trading game.

I'll answer this question seriously.

I went all-in last March and stopped going to school to obsess over crypto (and wagecuck of course), putting in my life savings and maxed out all my lines of credit. While I am nowhere near my January ATH (78% down), watching this space evolve is a surreal and incredibly interesting experience.

No matter what a lot of these wagecucks say, many of them are not participating in the advancement of a craft or of their own passion. So many jobs out there are just pretense of added value. People mock us for participating in this market with such exuberance - but in twenty years time, I will be able to say "I was there".

If I were doing what I do at home in my own free time with my own money - with someone else's money, with less passion, in a less comfortable setting, for less pay - people would think I was someone special. I could go the traditional route, I could be a security analyst in a cubicle somewhere, but I would be sacrificing freedom for security - not at all honorable for someone as young as me (25) with no family to support.

Furthermore, my conviction that this space is going to rapidly evolve and absorb/disrupt so many other sectors in ways we can't even imagine has not faltered a single bit since I became immersed last year. To some, crypto is something that may never take off - to me, this is 100% the future, and all I need to do is keep my eyes and ears peeled for obvious opportunities and outperform my interest rates.

I do not trade often, I invest on fundamentals and hold. My portfolio is always less than 10 coins. Lately I have been working out a lot to keep my mind off this very boring market lol.

I will not lie to you, I am the most stressed I have ever been in my life. I am on the cusp of securing a better life for myself and my family. Just have to stick the landing.

I literally have nothing at stake. Mined my own coins last May and already sold the rig for a profit. I already have a job I enjoy that lets me live comfortably and is advancing my career. I feel nothing but great once I land a trade. I'm sill up more than 15x from when I started after Christmas.

So, you value freedom over financial security, with the added exitement of being a pioneer in something? I can respect that. Well, I hope that you achieve all your goals at the very least. Are you all-in on crypto, or do you have some kind of safety net?

>> No.9775510

>>9775464

All-in no stop loss. I have a crypto debit card and keep only enough money in my bank account to cover rent, all other bills go straight to my Coinbase.

Nice. Do you ever fear that all you accumulated could dissappear in an instant? Or do you consider yourself as experienced enough to keep on doing what you are doing?

I think a lot of people are hopelessly naive about Finance, Economics, idk life? I hear shit like this a lot. It could go down a lot, but in an instant? No. It took 6 months to decrease by 78% from my ATH - i'm still up 10x, if I ever hit my initial again I will probably reevaluate my positions. Even then i'd probably just make sure my positions are still secure and keep holding.

These coins aren't just "Le Ha HA Meme Money! Doge!". The sector as we see it today is the culmination of decades of work. There's real passion and fundamentals behind all of this. That being said, I do check every day and am very confident if any catastrophic event were on the horizon i would see it coming.

This is the best answer in this thread. I've started getting grey hair on my first year of trading, it's stressful as fuck but I wouldn't miss it for the world.

pssh, I got way more gray hairs working 9 shifts a week than I do trading. the worst was working 6 days a week AND trading. fuck that.
