Dude its a cheap country. Workforce costs nothing but they have an ok infrastructure so the country is working allright. I've been to Thailand a fee times now and it's surprisingly well-organized compared to cost of living. It's more similar to eastern Europe than Africa.

These flats and houses are not built to last, that's the trick. After 5-6 years they take them apart, transfer the movable shit like Jacuzzi and toilets to a new building, which is always built without power tools only using lots of manual workforce.
I mean, you can get a real nice meal in Thailand for 2-3 dollars. 0.5-1 if you just want a nice bowl of veggies with rice.
