you guys are literally retarded
eos on ethereum won't just mirror the price on the eos mainnet.

it will drop to zero because it has zero value
nobody will buy a worthless token at 15$

I cannot understand how a person with such low intelligence can be in crypto.
You're NOT trading the erc20 token on those exchanges, you retard. It does not matter AT ALL that the old erc20 tokens are worthless.

So? You're not trading erc20 tokens directly on those exchanges. You're trading whatever the exchange will allow you to withdraw later. How is that so complicated for everyone here?

>> No.9723018

>>9722998
the whole EOS community is brain dead, they know nothing about how blockchains actually work.

>>9723018
I would say it's not specific to EOS.

>> No.9723052

>>9722998
what are you even saying?

people registered their eos adress
now they get the same amount of eos after the mainnet launches fully (presumably 1-2weeks)
their eos in ethereum is frozen (i guess forever)so it's worthless
the eos token itself in ethereum is also worthless because there is no use for it
so why would anyone buy it at any price at all?

true but now these brainlets are being put through the most complicated token swap in the history of cryptos, so not understanding how it works actually matters with this

something being worthless and having no value because it cant be traded isn't the same thing.

null != 0

>> No.9723082

Because the exchanges are giving you IOU's for tokens that you don't actually physically get until you withdraw. I can't believe we have to explain this kind of shit on here.

>> No.9723089

>>9723052
Oh for fucks sake. You're NOT buying erc20 tokens on an exchange. You're buying a symbol (EOS). It will become the real EOS after mainnet, because you are going to be able to withdraw real EOS.

>> No.9723184

Are you niggers seriously this stupid? Exchanges happen off the blockchain. The exchanges tokens are frozen, true, but when mainnet launches the exchanges wallet will be credited with mainnet tokens. This means you can withdraw the tokens you are buying right this instant for real eos in a few days. Which means the tokens are no more or less valuable than they were a few hours ago, airdrops notwithstanding.

The registered tokens are frozen. You cant sell them. Trade is impossible. They are stuck in your account till the end of time.

The only thing you can trade right now is imaginary placeholders that exchanges made up that dont actually exist on a blockchain. When main net launches you can withdraw these as real mainnet eos.
