If you assume both coins work the same, you might be onto something, but that really isn't the case. Bitcoin Cash happened only because there was stonewalling to scaling, scaling that was very much needed and was highlighted in December with $50 fees. Early adopters, including Howells, originally got into Bitcoin because it promised to be the future of cash, and BTC isn't on that path anymore.
