I have the solution you need. Here's what worked for me in college:
> be me, living in old college dorm
> get a cake and a big box with 2lb of chocolate candies for my birthday
> be a bit chubby so i eat half of it and hide the rest in various drawers around my room
> soon, a wild ant appears
> soon, even more ants appear
> spray ants with axe body spray
> they are attracted by the smell, the ants start to swarm
> change tactics, move the cake and all the candies i can find into my mini-fridge, turn temperature as low as it goes
> leave for the day
> come back, ants found a way to get into the mini-fridge through a tiny vent hole in the door
> big stream of ants going in
> only a few straggler ants coming out
> open the mini-fridge; the food inside is covered in dead and dying ants
> ants are stuck in the cake frosting
> ants are stuck in spilled juice all over the inside of the mini-fridge
> end up throwing out the mini-fridge because it was too gross
so i dunno, maybe make a syrup trail into your refrigerator to collect the ants, and then sell them online for bitcoin
