I just know that he started his long a bit above 2k while shorting ethbtc. Btc dipped while eth dipped even harder so he didn't get liquidated and just added to the long at 1.8k. Then he held it all the way through the fork and probably even got the 17% dividend from bitmex (after they sold their customer's bch).
