What happens with the amount you put to increase your liquidation margin in case you start to make profit?

It just returns to you? or is eated by the exchange?

you add margin to move your liquidation price further away...
you're adding more of a "buffer" to your position, so you can't get liquidated as easy

anyway, if you've ever opened and closed a position with added margin, you should know.
whatever you put in, you get back, unless you get liquidated.
