Best of luck Reqbro! I was going to put money into Bitcoin when it was under $25, but flaked out. Was going to buy ETH when it was under $1, but my asshole friend fud'd me so hard I bailed. This project is it, finally pulled the plug after tons of research. I'm an auditor (the PwC partnership is huge for those that don't understand) and I believe in this project, will hold for 3 to 5 years.

Third layer. Paradex has wrapped ethereum along with maker which may be a security. LBX is fiat backed, paradex is only backed by tokens. The solution will be to pass regulations for fiat and token backing and allow fungibility

Barclays strikes banking deal with major cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase
Coinbase, one of the world's biggest cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets, obtained a bank account with a U.K. lender Barclays.
The deal marks the first major partnership between a U.K. bank and cryptocurrency exchange.

The firm says the e-money license will enable it to pass through regulatory barriers beyond the UK to 23 countries within the EU, although such an arrangement may not withstand a Brexit break in relations between the UK and its continental neighbours.

Coinbase currently has six openings in London for staff in compliance and back-end engineering and plans to grow its headcount 8x by then end of the year.

The US-based firm will not be the only cryptocurrency exchange in the Faster Payment Scheme, with news of a similar opening for home-grown outfit London Block Exchange also filtering through.

Beginning today, LBX is offering a Crypto Payment Account which will enable the instant transfer of GBP to digital currencies.

All i see is LBX preparing to compete with Coinbase.

What is more useful and close to actual price evaluation . I should do more research on Omise. A req token is just akin to a stamp on a transaction, like people aren’t going to be paying in req. Do we truly know Req's market cap? Its tapping into multiple markets, cc processing, audits, invoicing, and cryptospace making it easier to cash out.

>>9640431
You do realize that during each transaction, req is purchased as a fee in the background. Nobody really needs to buy it, it just needs to have adoption. So essentially if it does become mass adopted, it will always be purchased continuously driving up the price. And as the burn rate increases holding the token will generate passive income over time. People and businesses will start to purchase Req outright and hold it like a stock, just without voting rights.

>> No.9640555

when i first discovered REQ (thanks to /biz/ actually), it was about 5 cents, and 1/20th the marketcap of OMG.

in my brainlet mind i saw them as direct competitors (i realize now that they are not), so i thought:

"hey, if this even goes to half the market capitalization of OMG, i'll have made 10x"

my friends: "but can it actually get to half the marketcap of OMG? seems risky af"

me: *looks at team, Y combinator backing, scope of roadmap, incredible branding, burgeoning reddit community*

"yes."

less than three months later it was 50 cents - a clear 10x from my entry. easiest 1000% of my life. all my friends except for one missed the boat cuz they didn't see the potential.

not sure about its ATH of $1.20 (i think that was pure speculative hype, unfeasible now that product has actually launched), but it's def gonna go back to at least 50 cents or so. i'd say to anyone on the sidelines: go all in REQ. NOW. before it's too late.
