Anyone self made is admirable in many ways, even if they are scumbags. It takes many different things to 'win' so even the biggest, most successful scumbag scammers on the planet have admirable drive and dedication to what they do (even if its wrong)

It's like what people do with Hitler... they make out like he was all bad and refuse to accept that he had many traits of 'great men'.
