What did you do to risk being fired at a retail store?

That figures, I used to work in a retail store. I worked my ass off until I realized it wasn't so great for my mental health. For the most part, I don't think the conditions you've described change wherever you work (in terms of retail/customer service). Are you just going to go NEET for a bit, or will you look for more work?

i would definitely look for more work. im on my own for the most part (have 2 roommates) and have bills to pay; ie rent, electric, water, etc. I was thinking if it happens taking a month off just to neet it up then start looking for work so i dont drain my savings.
I really don't want to work more retail. its a dead end going nowhere line of work.

That's understandable. I got out of retail, but it accounted for my initial work experience, and I think I needed that. I moved onto data entry after that and the position I snagged was great. I don't blame you for wanting to take time off, it's a horrible environment to be in, especially full-time. I'm currently unemployed, but nothing would make me want to go back.

how did you land that gig if you dont mind me asking?

I'd say it was because I had a good interview all the way through. During the interview process, I came prepared to answer the expected questions (what do you have to offer, what is your availability like, can you work in a team, etc.). I tried my best to come off as a nice person, and their HR seemed to look at that more than actual competence. There were several other clerks but most of them were much older than me and were women, something I didn't expect.

That might come off as stupid to others, but they really were much older, 25-40 even, in a job I managed to get.

Same but I only served from August of last year I’m considering getting another job or make my artwork more public so people can buy it.
