Why is this shitcoin supposed to dethrone Bitcoin again?

non cs retards who fell for the
>web 3.0
and
>muh world computer
meme were too fucking retared to realize ETH is literally just BTC with the added capability to store "code" (i.e. data) on-chain and therefore define additional valid "transactions" outside the spec of the eth protocol itself

they forget ETH is just a distributed transactional singleton machine model exactly like BTC and hence every "computation" has to be performed by every node on the network...

for the brainlets here, that means:
>storing 1GB of data on-chain costs >>3.5M USD
>performing any sort of reasonably complex computation is prohibitively expensive

the reality is there is nothing interesting about ETH or BTC and they will never be used to do anything

people also fell for the
>muh smart contract meme
and think eth contracts will replace all derivatives transactions.... (bc there would be no counterparty risk)

protip: 99.99% of derivative transactions are not cash collateralized and thus always have credit risk... putting them on a blockchain solves nothing

all of this is in the fucking ETH yellowpaper if you're not retarded and can read overly complicated, overly marketed CS paper lingo

hard pill to swallow: crypto is all worthless garbage ponzi tier useless shit that has a long term value of 0

it’s not. bitcoin is the foundation for every coin you mongoloid. the market is fractal. novelty builds upon less complex foundations. BTC -> ETH -> Shitcoins. ETH “dethroning” BTC would be like animals “dethroning” fungi, it’s impossible as the system would collapse.

More uses than Bitcoin (BTC). Bitcoin (BCH) may give it a run. ETH is the standard for smart contracts and dApps. Although some others visually and sometimes technically do it better, it is ETH that will get the nod to perhaps take over.

Yeah what's really needed is a decentralized platform with separate context. That would already be a huge improvement.

Computer Scientist Here.

Why would you compare Visa with Ethereum? Centralised systems tend to outperform decentalised ones in terms of throughput. However, atm science discusses the use of Byzantine consensus as developed in traditional state machine replication protocols (such as PBFT as alternative to nakamoto consensus (proof of work). Google for Omi Ledger if you want to do your research on scale-out sharded distributed ledgers that can actually increase their throughout with the number of systems participants by the parallelization or there ordering process in different shards and inter-shard communication

the flippining is just speculation in a highly speculative market.
i only see one coin controlling the market, very few on this board hold this coin!
