9607670 No.9607670 [Reply] [Original]

Thinking of building pic related
How much money per month could I make in the near future? Are there any estimates available? Can't be that much, right? People barely pay anything for VPN.

>> No.9607711

>>9607670
IIRC what I read several months ago, the skycoin reward paid out is constant. So if you're one of the first miners out then you do stand to make a killing.

>> No.9607814

>>9607711
Any estimates on how much that could be? All I've ever heard was around $1500 a month. I think it was Swissbro who said it, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

No forgot completely unfortunately. I hold a chunk of SKY but have been to caught up with life to keep up on news. I'd ask around in the Telegram or reddit maybe you'll get a less vague answer.

I built my own miner and now they are telling me I can't be whitelisted for the testnet because my miner does not use Orange Pi Primes, even though they clearly state you can use your own miner.
I am sick of this motherfucking scammers and there is no way in the world I will pay 1 BTC for their miner.
> But anon you get 0.9 BTC back in Skycoin
What does it matter if they pay me back using their own useless coin, this project heavily depends on the community support yet they shit on them unless they pay them 1 BTC.
Skycoin is dommed anon don't waste your time and money on this scam.

>> No.9608123

Thanks for the heads up. I would even mind buying an official Skyminer, but nobody seems to have any idea of how much the rewards will be. I'm assuming the income from routing traffic will be very small for any foreseeable future.

My miner is top notch even better than the official ones...
Unless you own an approved DIY miner you should shut up as you clearly don't know what you are talking about. I can assure you they will never whitelist your miner.

>> No.9608347

>>9608258
From what I have read the rewards attributed in the testnet will only depend on the amount of nodes you operate, the amount of traffic will be minimal so it doesn't make sense to attribute rewards by bandwidth.
Either way you everyone can participate in the testnet however only whitelisted miners will recieve rewards.
Do you need an approved email address for the second batch of official miners? I joined the waiting list in January but have decided not to buy it.

skywire vpn is already up and running and works if you arent a pajeet and can actually use a PC

the only people it doesnt work for are grannies and pajeets who need a plug and play system

If you faggots dont understand that it works and once word gets out about this vpn system its going to fucking explode

Maybe you should read up before you start saying stupid stuff.

The equipment to send internet already works, you can use data on your phone without a cable and without wifi right? Yeah exactly, 5G is soon here as well which means a huge speed boost.

You can also send wifi signlas with the help of satellite dishes, skywire is a well thought out mest network and skycoin is already developing their own satellite dishes that are smaller, cheaper and works better

Here is a video showing how to send wifi over long distance

I have a very high IQ (168) and I'm holding SkyCoin. I have followed Synth working on this project for a long time and feel a deep interconnectedness with his style of thinking and approaching problems. He is obviously very high IQ like me. I love spending time with him on the SkyCoin telegram, having intelligent discussions and overall just "shooting shit" as the commoners say. To have my brain melding together with his is pure ecstasy. In the past he has even worked on Bitcoin! How many can say that about themselves? I sometimes jokingly say that he is probably Satoshi Nakamoto. Heh. Skycoin will in the near future completely replace the internet, it will produce a wireless decentralized meshnet (with Synth controlling everything of course) using high power wifi antennas. Wow, just imagining it all is sending shivers down my spine! And that's only the first phase! In the coming years Synth is going to build five thousand cube shaped minisatellites that he will launch into space using the money he gets from running the next internet! This will finalize his global surveillance network and secure his place as the global hypermonarch. I hope to be there sitting next to his throne, on my big boy seat. Hope you will also buy a Skyminer... ;)

I could see situations like this as being huge opportunities.

There's all sorts of small towns with 10K people that have only one ISP or none. All it takes is one person in one town to invest in a long range connection to a nearby town with better internet access.

Once the smalltown guy is connected, he can essentially start his own business as an ISP. Setting up a wifi meshnet through homes and businesses in the town. They'd pay him and all the traffic would go through his node and the subsequent nodes upstream.

I just noticed something: if there are currently slightly above 1900 nodes, and let's say most of the official skyminers are connected (how many were shipped, 200, 300?), with 8 nodes per official miner, then there are not so many DIY in the waiting list. Worst case scenario:
200 official miners submitted = 1600 nodes.
300 DIY nodes divided by 4 nodes per DIY miner average = 75 DIY miners.
Hell, that looks more promising that I though, considering when I submitted there were like 1100 nodes or so.

with the mainnet you get paid in COINHOURS per traffic you get from users, so expect nothing in the next 5 years (or ever)
but until then they will restart their twitter and facebook scammarketing to make thousands of retards fomo into buying a miner for mainnet when they see the testnetyields of skycoin
to bad they are in for a rude awakening then
