Bottom is nowhere near current price. Now calling bottom at 2k sounds pessimistic, but reality will be much worse. I believe BTC will slowly drop for the rest of the year, then flash crash below $200 around the new year and then consolidate to $500 and stay there for a couple of years.

Translation: I missed the boat and want to buy cheap Bitcoin at $200-500, so that's where I predict that the price will go

I bought most of mine years ago when it was less than $200. Good times.

>In all seriousness though, wouldn't you like to buy cheap Bitcoin at $200-500?
Yeah, of course I would, but scoring some cheap Bitcoin at this point is not worth the damage that those prices would do to the market. $200 Bitcoin in 2018 would be the end of the crypto market, at least for the next 5-10 years. It's that simple. All of the scam Chinkcoins, Bcash, it would all crash to 0 if Bitcoin were to dip that low, and that's where the market would remain for years to come. It's not worth it.

This is what I don't understand about these perma-bears and perma-shorters. You want the market to crash to $200 so that you can buy cheap Bitcoins? Okay, great. Then what? You're just gonna sit there holding your $200 bags? Because the market isn't going to magically rebound to $20K overnight once you load up on $200 BTC. I have seen the way /biz/ trades, and the average December-baby here doesn't have the patience needed to weather the multi-year bear market that would occur if BTC were to go under $1k

People are going to shit talk you, but people also shittalked when there was TA of a multi year blowoff after 20k.

2k was predicted to be the bottom, with dips to sub 1k back then. So I think it's a reasonable guess.

Now that manipulation is being investigated, the whales that manipulated the price up are stopping what they were doing and now that BTC price isn't being propped up by that the bubble is popping and price is correcting to a more proper valuation at a range of $1,800-$2,000.

>> No.9592774

>>9592747
You're not supposed to predict these things. You know they will happen, you don't know when they will.

The only thing you can do is hedge your bets (eg 2 coins 2 utiltokens) and swing trade if any of them break their usual ratio and/or portfolio rebalance according to incoming news.

Red markets are where the best swing trades happen. BTC USD is probably the hardest market of all, personally I've been burned and not trying it anymore

This crash doesn't scare me one bit. They're trying to shake out everyone they can by making it so fast and sudden. The low volume from a few days ago made it even easier for them to do this.

We're going to see the weekly equilibrium breakout, either to the downside or bearside. Whichever why it goes, it'll be good and set the tone for the rest of the year. It appears to be bear side for now, though I think it'll be bull side in a few days. I'm happy with either. Accumulate more if it goes low, sell more if it goes up.

The logical consequence of taking these postulates together is the inseparable joining together of the four dimensions, hitherto assumed as independent, of space and time. Many counterintuitive consequences emerge: in addition to being independent of the motion of the light source, the speed of light has the same speed regardless of the frame of reference in which it is measured; the distances and even temporal ordering of pairs of events change when measured in different inertial frames of reference (this is the relativity of simultaneity); and the linear additivity of velocities no longer holds true.
