Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

so i googled this shit today, it's weird i've never seen it mentioned how the company operates.

They charge $10 a month, you get a debit card. Using the card, you can see 1 movie per day at any theater
They pay full ticket price to the theater each time you use the card, so 1 person could in theory cost the company $300 a month
Once a sizable portion of ticket sales are going through MoviePass, they threaten the theater with removing their location from the app so users can't see it, unless they are given a portion of concessions profits.
The users still could go to that location, because all it is is a prepaid debit card, the app isn't even needed

I could see it working, them forcing theaters to go to a subscription model, but it looks like a long shot. Time is certainly not on HMNY's side.

>youre prolly gonna get bogged by that high IV
Well, if it goes to less than 25 cents, my puts WILL make money.
So, if it actually does go bankrupt, I think I'm pretty sure that I'll break even on the whole strangle -- which shows me that I REALLY didn't do the math on this, and need to start thinking this shit through.
But, I doubt that'll actually happen, and judging from the 5 year chart, I think this is just a game that the owners like to play.
So, maybe I'll just find a good spot to sell the puts and see wtf happens.

Also, if the IV is so high, wouldn't making an options play on IV decreasing in the future be profitable? I heard you can do that. Wouldn't that arbitrage decrease or adjust for IV in a way? And if so, why wouldn't people be doing that?

TVIX actually opened my eyes about trading, gave me new perspectives into how trading works and really helped me get my jumpstart into trading.
Realizing key choices when you invest is important, and TVIX is a great starting investment for those with not much money to spare.
With all-time lows, this is definitely the way to go (cause we all know buy high, sell low is a meme, after all)!

Kind of weird when they changed their corporate slogan to "Snap into a TVIX Bar" though, didn't know what the COO meant by that.

I'm honestly curious anon - why would you invest even a penny in such crap penny stock, when there are dozens of perfectly good blue chips, with strong business, making billions of dollars in profits each year, making real solid gainz year by year... why put money in such company as WWR?

Out of pure greed/hope that a small nominal change in price will make you some money? Out of hope that it's a diamond in a rough and will take off at some point making you rich?

Why is it anon-sama that you waste time with that?

Yeah, I already read that... Though their financials look poor so far. They have revenues but not profits (I would have to look into important details of why is that). And that's pretty consistent for the last few years at least. Though as I've written, reasons for that can be many, and not all of them bad. Maybe I'll look into that tomorrow.

I shy away from companies consistently loosing money. But this one is at least interesting enough to do some research.

Btw, guess you're having a nice day than. They're finishing quite nicely.

Amazon was unprofitable for years. Now look at it.

As long as there's a trending pattern of steady increase in revenue and increase in profits, even if its still negative, then I take it as a good sign.

I wasn't expecting this last minute surge, so yeah, it is a nice day. But tomorrow is where the real fun starts.
