Who's right, and why?

(Yes faggots we all know biz isn't a LINK hivemind, but go to the archive and check the most popular image reposts. The chainlink logo is only second to fucking bitcoin itself. If it's not the majority opinion of the board it's obviously the largest minority.)

cryptos will never succeed as actual "currencies"
#1 thing a currency must have is stability, nothing that can go 30% up and down per month will EVER be used for payments
best case scenario nano becomes a "store of value" meme like BTC, but I doubt that since better coins will come

Nano needs adoption from normies. LINK needs adoption from businesses. What's the pros of using Nano as payment atm? Nothing, since it's volatile and VISA has the same speed as well. What's the pros of using Chainlink(smartcontracts)? Automates processes which saves money.

There you go.

I said as currencies for payments
I know LINK isn't really a currency per say, more like a fuel for the LINK network, in the same way ETH is fuel for the ethereum network
these network tokens and coins make sense (except in situations where a token is used where it didn't need to be just to cashgrab an ICO), but payment coins don't

Isn't Nano basically a currency? There are plenty of other currencies vying for market share. Crypto currencies don't excite me much personally from an investment perspective. You can still make a lot of money by getting in on a currency early but I feel like smart contracts will have more explosive growth in the coming years. Research group Gartner believes that there will be trillions of dollars flowing through smart contracts by the early 2020s. Any automated payment you can think of will run through smart contracts from simple things, to machine-to-machine payments (think of how many robots and autonomous cars will be around in the early to mid 2020s), to big money real estate or Bank transfers. If smart contracts cut out the middle man and save industries billions of dollars, they'll all start using them any time they want move a lot of money.

Nano could be big too but I feel like most currencies won't be around and only a couple will survive the next few years. But the crypto currency market is already over saturated and that was what everyone was investing in during the blockchain 1.0 days. Now we're looking for other gold mines and using this internet meme money to invest in other uses of decentralized networks and blockchain tech.

So basically If link succeeds it'll be way more profitable because it's solving a problem that hasn't been solved yet and it's a problem that deals with crazy amounts of money

>> No.9526854

i trust redddit way more than i trust this shit site

>> No.9526857

both are going to make it.

obviously the currency market is super crowded, but nano is what normies assume cryptocurrencies should be like, instant and free, with good enough decentralisation to satisfy people who know their shit, and scalability that comes from inherent design characteristics, so it can ride Moore's Law all the way to tens of thousands of tx/s without blockchain bloat.

many BTC clone shitcoins can offer low fees while nobody uses them, but if they would be adopted they would be guaranteed to run into the same BTC/BCH dilemma, so they are doomed.

Investing into currency coins is literally retarded. There is so much competition that picking the "winner" (if there is one) is literally a lottery. Ride the hype, but don't marry the shitcoin like the retarded plebbitors.

Smart contracts and digital tokenization is the future. LINK is the best bet on smart contracts you can make right now, as there is no viable competition. Of course LINK might take a while and it might even fail altogether. And even if it succeeds, it's hard to speculate on its future value. Might be worth $1b or $100b. It's a longshot.

smart contracts are not ready yet, and they won't be for 1-2 more bullruns. Literally invest in tokens or currencies until then.

And Bitcoin is a currency, ETH is essentially a currency, even all the other platforms with literally nothing try to sell themselves on currency as well. It's a big deal and NANO will moon soon.
