It's not a pyramid. If you time your buys and sells right you'll see some gains.
You don't rely on new people buying in to dump on them, as long as you have enough players to begin with. Thanks to the anti-inflation the biggest fishes won't stay on the top if they sell. The sell would kill 25% of their investors and will lower the buy in - which means a new player will get closer to the top.
