Coin doesn't need to be minerable to have a potential, the things that I look in coins are their backgrounds, their companies, their partnerships.
btc had it's potential but it's too mainstream
eth is ok, but it needs more scaling solutions for now
eos is a classic pump and dump
xmr is the coin I love but it's constantly getting rubbished by world governments, and will eventually be made illegal
The only sound investment for now is HBT

Some good tokens like Link will have real world use soon. Some new ideas like hardware accelerated HPB which has actual development are speculative but far from shitcoins like tron.
